Nutrition & Breast Cancer
Having a cancer diagnosis can be an emotional, frightening time. This often isn’t helped by nutritional advice - much of which is confusing and sometimes even conflicting. I’ve seen many women become terrified of food, for fear that any meal may cause a recurrence. I want to make sure that any changes you make are evidence based and worthwhile so that food can continue to be a source of joy in addition to helping your body to heal.
For over 17 years I have been supporting the cancer community achieve the very best outcomes from nutrition.
I offer positive, supportive, and practical advice, wherever you are in your treatment journey:
• Preparation for surgery
• Support during chemotherapy/radiotherapy/immunotherapy
• Bone health post treatment
• Weight loss
• Restoring vitality and energy after treatment
• Managing symptoms of ongoing treatment
• Gut health (with a focus on IBS)
• Coping with the symptoms of menopause induced by chemotherapy or hormonal treatment
• Providing clarity with regards to all the myths about diet and cancer
I have worked for a range of cancer charities (Breast Cancer Haven, South East Cancer Help Centre, Future Dreams, MacMillan, Pauls), led workshops, as well as provided private consultation on breast cancer nutrition.
